Go Green, Or Go Home!

Where's Me Gold?!
Jenny McCarthy
Today is the day of four leaf clovers & leprechauns. Going green or getting pinched. Beer & drunks..."Yes" minions it's St. Patrick's Day!

I felt the best way to honor it here at Entertain Me would be to trot out photos of celebrities dressed in green for the occasion. So that's what's happening, right here, right now...Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hit Me With Your Best Shot

Shoot That Poison Arrow
Alicia Vikander
The reboot of Tomb Raider opens today, thus I bring you this striking image of Alicia Vikander aka Lara Croft poised and ready to hit you with her best shot, bow & arrow style.

While I did see the original with Angelina Jolie I will be sitting this one out. Why? It has nothing to do with Vikander, it has to do with my taste changing. There was a time I would go see pretty much anything I was such a rabid movie goer. Well things have changed and I no longer have time for that.

Translation: Most movies are not that great and or can be viewed in the comfort of your own home. I am quite choosy about what I will spend $$$ on to go see in a theater...and guess what action films are not really my thing. They have to have more layers to them than fancy stunts and set pieces to entice this guy. Since most of them are that and only that, you get the pic.

Digressing a little I do like Vikander, she is a top notch actress and if anyone can breathe life into the role of Lara Croft it's her.

Best wishes Alicia I wish you all the success in the world with this, I however will wait for you next drama.

Mic drop!

Michael's Musings

Red Hot? Or Mellow Yellow?
Michael Shinafelt
"Between two evils I always like to take the one I've never tried before" - Mae West

I don't know about you, but I am feeling quite yummy today. I'd like to try something new. An evil perhaps? Or...use your imagination if you have one, of course you do!

Yellow or red, the choice is yours. Let's smeeeeeeelllll what Michael is cooking!

Kudos to the students who walked out for 17 minutes yesterday in protest of gun violence. One word: amazing!

The Safe Word is: Stormy Daniels

I love the smell of Cheetos and Tuna in the morning...NOT!

Saw one of my favorite partners in crime, Julie McMahon for lunch yesterday at The Cheesecake Factory in Beverly Hills. The more you know.

A friend of mine, thought Erika Jayne was a total "mean girl" for the way she attacked Teddi Mellencamp on RHOBH this week. While I think the punishment was harsher than the crime, I understood Erika's POV.

That's two mentions for Beverly Hills thus far in my column this week, holla!

There needs to be a band named: No Weed For A Bitch

I need Scandal to surprise and thrill me tonight

Notice Augustus Gloop and Donald Trump are never in the same room together?

R.I.P. The amazing, brilliant, one of a kind Stephen Hawking

So excited, there is going to be a live DJ in one of my favorite spin instructors, Jessica's class today at Gold's Gym Hollywood.

How does it feel to want??? Really, tell me.

Hump Day & Chill

Join Me?
Chris Pine
Today's Hump Day & Chill is brought to you by the film A Wrinkle in Time - and by the name Chris Pine. Yeah, that's correct I made rhyme, and I can do that anytime Sam I Am...

Mr. Pine currently appearing in A Wrinkle in Time is one tasty view whether he is "your type" or not. Oh and he is a talented thespian as well.

What's that?! No, I did not see the Star Trek movies, NMT aka Not My Thing, but those baby blues are all so mesmerizing. And he was real and spectacular as Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman.

Chris is a really great movie star in the old Hollywood tradition. He is quite particular about the projects he picks and keeps a very low key profile when it comes to his personal life. Because life is a mystery after all, and everyone must stand alone.

This guy ain't no Kardashian, that's for sure! No letting it all hang out physically or personally for him.

So why don't you join me in pining for Chris, Hump Day &Chill powers activate.

It's time to go, I gotta blow! (another rhyme I'm on a roll!)

My Friend Dahmer

You've Got To Have Friends!

Based on the acclaimed graphic novel about one of the
most notorious serial killers of our time

"This film is sensitively wrought. It's credible in its evocation of mid-'70s suburbia. The acting is excellent throughout, and Ross Lynch in the role of Dahmer elicits genuine sympathy for an increasingly lost but not yet monstrous soul."
- Glenn Kenny, New York Times
My Friend Dahmer is based on the acclaimed graphic novel about one of the most notorious serial killers ever. Its screenplay landed a spot on the coveted 'Black List', ranking it as one of the best un-produced screenplays (at the time) before becoming a hit movie.

My Friend Dahmer had a theatrical release in 2017 and has grossed over $1,300,000. It played extensively on the festival circuit, premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival and going on to play at LA Film Festival, Deauville Film Festival, American Film Festival, and many others. The film features an all-star cast that includes Emmy Nominee Anne Heche (Donnie Brasco), SAG Award winner Vincent Kartheiser (Mad Men), Former Disney star Ross Lynch (Austin & Ally), Alex Wolff (Patriot's Day) and Dallas Roberts (3:10 To Yuma).

Jeffrey Dahmer murdered 17 men and boys in the Midwest United States between 1978 and 1991 before being captured and incarcerated. He would become one of America's most infamous serial killers. This is the story before that story.

SYNOPSIS:

Jeff Dahmer (Lynch) is an awkward teenager struggling to make it through high school with a family life in ruins. He collects roadkill, fixates on a neighborhood jogger (Kartheiser), and copes with his unstable mother (Heche) and well intentioned father (Roberts). He begins to act out at school, and his goofball antics win over a group of band-nerds who form The Dahmer Fan Club, headed by Derf Backderf (Wolff). But this camaraderie can't mask his growing depravity. Approaching graduation, Jeff spirals further out of control, inching ever closer to madness.

Pre-order at the MVD Shop or on Amazon

PRESS QUOTES:

"A warped wonder of a movie about a cannibalistic serial killer's awkward teenage years-it takes twisted to areas few have investigated." - Pat Travers, Rolling Stone

"As My Friend Dahmer slowly steers its protagonist toward his historical fate, the result is crushing."  - Andrew Karpan, Film School Rejects

"Writer-director Marc Meyers turns Backderf's celebrated book into an absorbing, dramatized portrait of casual cruelty and teenage desperation, equal parts The Virgin Suicides and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre." - Joshua Rothkopf, Time Out

"Meyers makes 'My Friend Dahmer' a convincing high school drama, but his portrait of the serial killer as a young man telegraphs Dahmer's future all too clearly."
- Pat Padua, The Washington Post

Monday Motivation

So Flexible!
Sting
Today I have to report to Jury Duty. I am crossing my fingers and eyes that I don't get selected.

Yeah, I need some motivation of another kind to rise above the situation. Well nothing says "rise" better than a photo of music icon Sting doing yoga nearly naked.

Sting was so hot in his heyday, and really still is. He exudes a confidence few individuals have.

He became huge with the rock group The Police. Became even bigger solo...and showed us how really big he was when he started doing full frontal nudity for photographer Annie Leibovitz.

Thus today Sting is my spirit animal.

Don't question me.

Midnight Sun

Don't Feed Them After Midnight
Bella Thorne & Patrick Schwarzenneger
Being that it is the first day of Daylight Savings Time I thought it appropriate to do a post on the movie Midnight Sun, because, duh, we will be getting more sunshine. Not all the way until midnight, but it has been know to happen 'til 8 pm.

The plot goes like this:

"MIDNIGHT SUN is a romantic tearjerker about 17-year-old Katie Price (Bella Thorne), sheltered at home since childhood with a rare genetic condition, a life-threatening sensitivity to sunlight. Having only her father Jack (Rob Riggle) for company, Katie's world opens up after dark when she ventures outside to play her guitar. One night, her dreams come true when she’s noticed and asked out by her longtime crush Charlie (Patrick Schwarzenegger), whom she’s secretly watched from her bedroom window for years. As they embark on nightly summer excursions, Katie’s risk to sunlight grows and she’s presented with the gut-wrenching dilemma of whether she can live a normal life with her newfound soul mate."

Well Katie good luck with the time change. Not sure how that is going to work for you.

This being stated I happen to like Bella Thorne. She is one of the more interesting actresses in young Hollywood. She not only is beautiful, she also possesses talent and and charisma.

So there you have that.

Enjoy the time change today???
